Basic commands using ncli -101

In order to use ncli you must SSH using nutanix/nutanix/4u. Now if you can use any of CVM IP.

In my case I used Cluster IP (192.168.1.180) and you can see below it is directing me to 192.168.1.162. After logged in type in ncli to see prompt below

How many nodes in the cluster?

nodetool ring –h localhost

How to check cluster redundancy ?

cluster get-redundancy-state

How to check metadata store is enabled?Metadata store enabled on the node

ncli host list | grep “Metadata store enabled on the node”

login to CVM and issue cvm_shutdown 1

List down number of containers

container ls

image

List Virtualmachines

virtualmachine list
